Here's a gorgeous vintage brooch featuring an oval center dragon's breath cabochon. Set on a sterling silver base with a thin twisted rope surrounding the bezel and finished with a beaded edge. Beautiful colors in shades of pink and purple. Marked sterling on the back, the design feels Native American. A stunning piece of history. Sometimes called Mexican Fire Opal, this stone was used in the Victorian era alongside another glass stone known as saphiret. It was also used in Native American and Mexican jewelry between the 1880s and 1930s.
